Imam Ahmad b. Hanbal: Soul of Deceased Returns to Its Body in Grave

One of the errors of Imam Ahmad b. Hanbal was his belief that the spirit of the deceased returns to its body in the grave:
He said:

أَنَّهُ يَقْبِضُ الأَرْوَاحُ ثُمَّ تُرَدُّ في الأَجْسَادِ في القُبُورِ

(And we believe that) the Angel of Death takes the souls, then returns them to the bodies in the graves.

Stupid Shiite Belief: Prophet (AS) was Breastfed by Uncle Abu Talib!

Just to give the reader a (sour) taste of the kind of rubbish and fabricated tales that abound in the Shi'ite literature, I have reproduced below a quote from the most authentic Shi'ite book (Usul al-Kafi) where the belief of the Shi'ites is mentioned that the Prophet (alayhis salaam) was breastfed by his paternal uncle Abu Talib!

“Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Sa‘d ibn ‘Abdallah from Ibrahim ibn Muhammad al-Thaqafi from Ali ibn Mu‘alla from his brother, Muhammad from Durust ibn abu Mansur from Ali ibn abu Hamza from abu Basir from abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) who has said the following. "When the Holy Prophet (s.a) was born he remained for days without milk. Abu Talib himself breast fed him and Allah sent milk through his nipples. It continued for several days until abu Talib found Halima al-Sa‘diya and the child was given to her"

Ibn Arabi (Sufi Shaikh) Claims People of Noah were Drowned in Sea of Knowledge!

بِسۡمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِیۡمِ۞

In the Name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

The heart-warming story of Prophet Noah and the Ark, and the Great Flood which wiped out the disbelievers, is a source of inspiration and comfort for the faithful. It is a foreshadowing of the impending Apocalypse, and as such, is mentioned repeatedly throughout the Suhufan Mutahharah.

Regarding the fate of the people of Noah who rejected this great Messenger and Prophet of Allah, the Qur'an Majid says:

وَ نَصَرۡنٰہُ مِنَ الۡقَوۡمِ الَّذِیۡنَ کَذَّبُوۡا بِاٰیٰتِنَا ؕ اِنَّہُمۡ کَانُوۡا قَوۡمَ سَوۡءٍ فَاَغۡرَقۡنٰہُمۡ اَجۡمَعِیۡنَ ﴿۷۷

We helped him against a people who rejected our Signs. Verily, they were an evil people, so We drowned them all. (21:77)

However, the so called “Shaikh ul Akbar” of the Sufis – Ibn Arabi – has re-interpreted this story and critically twisted the teachings of the Qur'an Majid on the subject of Noah and the Great Flood. Writing about the people of Noah who rejected him, he says:

فَغَرِقُوا فِي بِحَارِ الْعِلْمِ بِاَللَّهِ

They were drowned in the Sea of Knowledge of Allah

The Name "Muslim" Prior to the Quran (Surah 22:78)

Allah (Azza wa Jall) says in the Suhufan Mutahharah:

هُوَ سَمَّاكُمُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ مِن قَبْلُ وَفِي هَـٰذَا لِيَكُونَ الرَّ‌سُولُ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْكُمْ وَتَكُونُوا شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ

He it is Who has named you as Muslims both before and in this (Book), that the Messenger be a witness over you and you be witnesses over mankind (22:78)

Here Allah has claimed that the name “Muslim” has been given even before the present Revelation (of the Qur'an).

I would like to give all Muslims the good news that I have discovered the text in which the name Muslim has been given before the revelation of the Qur'an.

In the Book of Isaiah, chapter 42, verse 19, it is written:

מִ֤י עִוֵּר֙ כִּ֣י אִם־עַבְדִּ֔י וְחֵרֵ֖שׁ כְּמַלְאָכִ֣י אֶשְׁלָ֑ח מִ֤י עִוֵּר֙ כִּמְשֻׁלָּ֔ם וְעִוֵּ֖ר כְּעֶ֥בֶד יְהוָֽה

Translation: Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I send? who is blind as he that is at peace with me, and blind as Jehovah's servant? (Isaiah 42:19, American Standard Version)

The Hebrew word used in this verse is Měshullâm which is the Hebrew equivalent of the Arabic Muslim. I have reproduced quotations from several Bible commentaries which affirm this fact:

The meaning of the Heb. měshullâm (a proper name in 2 Kings 22:3; Ezra 8:16, and often) is uncertain. Many take it as the equivalent of the Arabic “Moslim,” = “the surrendered one” (Cheyne, Comm.). It is no objection to this that it is based on an Aramaic use of the verb (commentary of Cambridge Bible for Schools and Colleges)

The Hebrew meshullam is interesting, as connected with the modern Moslem and Islam, the man resigned to the will of God. (Ellicott's Commentary for English Readers)

The word used is connected etymologically with the Arabic muslim (our "Moslem") (Pulpit Commentary)

Mulla Ali Qari: Saved Sect is Described as AHMADIYYAH

The great Hanafi jurist and scholar, Mulla Ali Qari al-Hanafi (d. 1014 H) in explaining the Hadith of the 73 sects, with 72 doomed to Hell and 1 sect saved, describes the saved sect with the description of being “Ahmadiyyah”. These seventy-two sects, all of them will be in the Fire. The Saved Sect are the people of Sunnah, illuminated, the Muhammadiyyah, upon the pure path of Ahmadiyyah.

فَتِلْكَ اثْنَتَانِ وَسَبْعُونَ فِرْقَةً كُلُّهُمْ فِي النَّارِ وَالْفِرْقَةُ النَّاجِيَةُ هُمْ أَهْلُ السُّنَّةِ
الْبَيْضَاءِ الْمُحَمَّدِيَّةِ وَالطَّرِيقَةُ النَّقِيَّةُ الْأَحْمَدِيَّةُ

Deobandi Claim: Ashraf Thanvi's Grandfather Returned from the Dead!

According to the principles of Islam, the dead cannot return to the world once their souls have been taken away by Allah:

وَحَرٰمٌ عَلٰی قَرۡیَۃٍ اَہۡلَکۡنٰہَاۤ اَنَّہُمۡ لَا یَرۡجِعُوۡنَ ۞

And it is forbidden for a population which has been destroyed that they should ever return (Surah 21, Ayah 95)

Similarly, in a Hadith Qudsi, Allah says:

إِنَّهُ قَدْ سَبَقَ مِنِّي أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهَا لَا يُرْجَعُونَ

I have already decreed that the dead cannot return to the . world

However, Ashraf Thanvi narrates an event from his family history (allegedly) which clearly contradicts this established belief that the dead do not return to the world:

شہادت کے بعد ایک عجیب واقعہ ہوا۔شب کے وقت اپنے گھر مثل زندہ کے تشریف لاۓ اور اپنے گھر والوں کو مٹھائی لا کر دی اور فرمایا کہ اگر تم کسی سے ظاہر نہ کروگی تو اسی طرح روز آیا کریں گے لیکن ان کے گھر کے لوگوں کو یہ اندیشہ ہوا کہ گھر والے جب بچوں کو مٹھائی کھاتے دیکھیں گے تو معلوم نہیں کیا شبہ کریں اس لیے ظاہر کردیا اور پھر آپ تشریف نہیں لاۓ۔یہ واقعہ خاندان میں مشہور ہے۔

 

Translation: After his (Ashraf Thanvi's grandfather) martyrdom, a strange incident occurred. At night time he came home in a living form and brought sweets for his household. Then he said: “If you do not reveal this to anyone then I will come like this everyday.” However, the family became concerned that people will become suspicious when they see the children eating sweets, so they revealed what happened. After that, he never returned. This incident is famous within the family.

Shah Waliullah: Meaning of Khaatam an Nabiyyeen "None can be sent by Allah with a new Shariah for Mankind"

The great Muhaddith and Mujaddid (divine reformer), Shah Waliullah of Delhi, writes in his book Tafhimat al-Ilahiyah:

وختم به النبيون اى لا يوجد بعده من يأمره الله سبحانه بالتشريع على الناس

 

Translation: Through him (Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam) the Prophets were sealed, meaning, there cannot be after him one commissioned by Allah with a Shari’ah for the people.

Hakeem Tirmidhi Refuting the Idea of "Chronological" Finality of Prophethood

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

writes in his book Kitab Khatm ul Awliya regarding the correct interpretation of Khatam an Nabuwwah (Finality of Prophethood):

فإن الذي عَمِيَ عن خبرِ هذا يظنّ أن خاتم النبيين تأويله أنه آخرهم مبعثا. فأي منقبة في هذا؟ وأي علم في هذا؟ هذا تأويل البُلْهِ الجَهَلة

Translation: “What is the virtue in the idea that the meaning of Khaatam an Nabiyyeen (Seal of the Prophets) is that he is the last to be sent chronologically? This is the interpretation of the foolish and the ignorant!”

Sufi Saint Abdul Qadir al-Kurdistani: "Being Seal of the Prophets means No One can Abrogate His Shari'ah"

The Sufi “saint” Abdul Qadir al-Kurdistani says:

واذا ثبت أنه خاتم الانبياء ثبت أنه لا تنسخ شريعته

Translation: When it is affired that he (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) is the Khaatam an Nabiyyeen – Seal of the Prophets – what is being affirmed is that none can abrogate his Shari’ah

Sufi "Saint" Abdul Wahhab al-Sha'rani claims Prophethood has not been taken away completely

The Sufi “saint” Abdul Wahhab al-Sha'rani writes in his book Al Yawaqeet wal Jawahir:

اعلم أن النبوة لم ترتفع مطلقاً بعد محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم وإنما ارتفع نبوة التشريع فقط فقوله صلى الله عليه وسلم لا نبي بعدي ولا رسول بعدي أي ماثم من يشرع بعدي شريعةخاصة

Translation: “Know that Nabuwwah (Prophecy) has not been raised (taken away) completely after Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam). The Prophethood that has been taken away is Law-bearing Prophethood only. So his saying (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) 'There is no prophet after me and no messenger after me' that is, no one after me who will bring a Shari'ah.

Sufi "Saint" Bayazid Bistami claims to be the Prophet Muhammad (Alaihis Salam)

The Sufi “saint” Bayazid Bistami claimed to be the Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam).

According to the book Tadkiratul Awliya, someone asked Bayazid Bistami about the Arsh, he said “I am the Arsh (Throne of Allah)”, similarly, he said “I am the Kursi (Footstool of Allah)”, and he said “I am the Qalam (Pen of Allah)”, and then someone asked about Abraham and Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam), upon which Bayazid Bistami said: “I am him as well”

Naqshbandi "Mujaddid Alf Thani" Ahmad Sirhindi: Attaining the Kamalat of Prophethood is not Contrary to Khatam an Nabuwwah

The leader of the Naqshbandi sect, so called “Mujaddid Alf Thani” Ahmad Sirhindi writes:

“Following the advent of the Khatmur Rosul, Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (peace and blessings of Allah be on him), the attainment of prophethood by one of his followers, as a subordinate and in service of the Holy Prophet, will in no way offend or be in conflict with his status as Khaatamur-Rosul. No doubts need be entertained in this regard."

Deobandi Blasphemy: "The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم came in the form of Rashid Ahmad Gongohi"

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

In detailing some of the alleged miracles and incidents of the Deobandi Ulama, Hafiz Mumin Khan Usmani writes in his book “Ulama-e-Deoband ke Waqiat o Karamat” that a certain Deobandi saw in his dream that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم came to him in the form and image of Rashid Ahmad Gongohi!

This is obviously a lie, and it is an attempt to degrade the high status and excellence of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم by claiming that he would ever come in the form of a second rate mullah like Rashid Gongohi. Satan cannot imitate the form and image of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم, but he (Satan) can definitely imitate the form of Rashid Gongohi!

Deobandi fatwa: A Husband Can Claim a Son Even if He was in another Country!

According to Beheshti Zewar written by Ashraf Thanwi, if someone's husband was gone to another country for years, and his wife gave birth to a child in the meantime, then if the husband claims that son it will be his!

Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (R.A.): Being Addressed with Words of the Qur'an

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

The great Sufi Shaikh, Abdul Qadir al-Jilani (Rahimahullah) says, while describing the spiritual path of “self-annihilation”:

“(When) you are adorned with ornaments and dressed and perfumed and incensed, then you are taken to the Great King (Allah) and addressed with the words:

إِنَّكَ الْيَوْمَ لَدَيْنَا مَكِينٌ أَمِينٌ

Translation: Surely, thou art in Our presence today dignified, trusted (12:54)

In other words, when a person reaches the station of self-annihilation (Fana), he will be addressed by Allah with a Revelation of an Ayah of the Qur’an al-Karim.

Sufi Shaikh Ibn Arabi Says Jesus will Descend in a New Body

The Sufi Shaikh Ibn Arabi, who the Sufis refer to as “Shaikh ul Akbar” meaning the greatest Shaikh, says regarding the ascension of Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him):

رفع عيسى عليه السلام اتصال روحه عند المفارقة عن العالم السفلي بالعالم العلوي
Translation: “The Spirit of Jesus (peace be upon him) was raised from the lower world to the high world”. Here, Ibn Arabi has denied the raising of Jesus as a physical, bodily ascension

Instead, he has asserted that the ascension was spiritual

Furthermore, regarding the descent of Jesus (peace be upon him) in the latter days, Ibn Arabi says

وجب نزوله في آخر الزمان، بتعلّقه ببدن آخر

Translation: “He will descend in the latter days with a different body”. This belief of Ibn Arabi is in fact the basis for the idea of a “spiritual” second coming of Jesus (peace be upon him) which has been propogated by esoteric sects such as the Ahmadiyah

Imam Yahya b. Ma'in (R.A.) says: "Abu Hanifah was a Murji"

The great Imam Yahya b. Ma'in (Radiyallahu anhu) says regarding Abu Hanifah:

كان أبو حنيفة مرجئاً وكان من الدعاة, ولم يكن في الحديث بشيء

Translation: “Abu Hanifah was a Murji’ and he was one of the callers (to Irja’), and he is nothing in Hadith”

This is an authentic narration (“Rijaaluhu Thiqaat”).

Sayyid Sulaiman Nadwi: Jesus (A.S.) Had a Real Father

The Hanafi mullah and leader of the Nadwa, Sayyid Sulaiman Nadwi, wrote that according to the Injeel (Gospel), Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) had brothers, sisters, and even a real father (MAADI BAAP)!

 

حضرت عیسی علیہ السلام کی ماں تھیں، اور انجیل کےبیان کے مطابق ان ک بھائی بہن بھی تھے، بلکہ مادی باپ تک موجود تھا

This belief is clearly contrary to the orthodox Islamic teachings of the Qur'an which attests to the fact that Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) was born miraculously without the agency of a father.

Sayyid Sulaiman Nadwi is a widely respected scholar of the deviant Deobandi sect.

Imam Ibn Qutaybah: Hadith 'No Prophet After Me' Means No Prophet who will Abrogate the Shari'ah

The great Imam of dream interpretation, Ibn Qutaybah (Rahimahullah), in explaining the Athar of Aisha "Say he is Khaatam an Nabiyyeen but do not say there is no prophet after him" writes:

وأما قول عائشة رضى الله عنها : قولوا لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم خاتم الأنبياء ولا تقولوا لا نبي بعده : فأنها تذهب إلى نزول عيسى عليه السلام وليس هذا من قولها ناقضاً لقول النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: لا نبي بعدي: لأنه أراد لا نبي بعدي ينسخ ما جئت به كما كانت الأنبياء صلى الله عليهم وسلم تبعث بالنسخ وأرادت هي: لا تقولوا إن المسيح لا ينزل بعده

As for the saying of AishaRA: "Do say the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم is the Seal of the Prophets, but don't say there is no prophet after him." Then she was referring to the descent of Jesus peace be upon him. And this saying (of Aisha) does not contradict the saying of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم "There is no Prophet after me", because the meaning of "no prophet after me" is that no one will abrogate what I have come with like how the Prophets peace be upon them were sent with abrogation. And her intention was "Don't say that the Messiah won't descend after him"

Shah Ismail Delhawi (R.A.) Ilham of the Awliya is Also Known as Wahi (Revelation)

 

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

The great mujahid and Islamic reformer, Sayyid Shah Isma'il of Delhi (Rahmatullah alayh) explains the reality of Ilham (divine inspiration) which is received by the Awliya, or pious saints of the Ummah.

He writes: "Ilham is that which is given to the Prophets, and that is called Wahi (Revelation). And apart from them it if it given to anyone else then it is called Tahdith. And throughout the Qur'an all of Ilham has been referred to as Wahi, whether it is the Ilham of Prophets or Awliya (Saints)."

That is to say, in Qur'anic terminology, the Ilham (inspiration) which has been received by non-Prophets like Saints has been called Wahi (Revelation). Therefore it is proven that Wahi (Revelation) is not exclusive to Prophets, but it a characteristic of some of the great Awliya (Saints of this Ummah).

Deobandi Fatwa: To Abstain from Paan and Red Clothes in Muharram is a Type of Shirk!

The Deobandi mullah Ashraf Ali Thanwi has written that among the actions which constitute Ashraak Fil Aadah (Shirk in Habits) are to abstain from eating Paan and wearing red clothes during the sacred month of Muharram.

This in spite of the fact that wearing red clothes is forbidden in Islam:

From Ibn ‘Abbaas, who said: “I was forbidden (to wear) red garments and gold rings, and to recite Qur’aan in rukoo’.” (Narrated by al-Nasaa’i, no. 5171. Imaam al-Albaani said: its isnaad is saheeh. Saheeh Sunan al-Nasaa’i, 1068).

However, below you can see that Ashraf Thanwi has issued a fatwa that to abstain from eating Paan (which is something bad and should be avoided Muharram or not) and to abstain from wearing red clothes in Muharram is a kind of Shirk!
