Dajjal

Masih al-Dajjal, or the False Messiah (Antichrist) is someone that figures prominently in Islamic eschatology. The Prophet () described the Dajjal as “one-eyed”, with a defect or blindness in one of his eyes. The Dajjal will claim divinity for himself, and beguile the people with his trickery. He is described as coming from the East, from the land of Khorasan, and appears on the frontier of Iraq and Syria, and has an army of 70 thousand Shi’a, described as the “Jews of Isbahan”.
