Kharijite "Shaikh" Abdullah Faisal Insults the Sahaba

The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Do not revile my companions.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (3673) and Muslim (2540). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “If my Companions are mentioned, then keep quiet.” (Narrated by al-Tabarani and classed as saheeh / authentic).

Abdullah Faisal “the Jamaican” is an extremist Kharijite preacher. In one of his lectures, entitled The Devil’s Deception of the Khawarij he severely disrespected three of the Prophet’s companions (Mu’awiyah, Amr b. al-Aas, and Abu Musa al-Ashari):

Mu’awiyah was very cunning and very sly; he was like a fox. What he did – he told his men to hold the Qur’an on the sword and the war came to a stalemate because the men of Ali refused to obey Ali’s orders and continue to fight. So Ali was forced to accept arbitration. Ali ibn Abi Talib wanted to send Ibn Abbas to be his advocate, to speak on his behalf. But fitnah broke out again in Ali’s camp, ‘so how can you choose Ibn Abbas, he’s your cousin, chose somebody else’. No, Ali was forced to chose Abu Musa al-Ashari to be his advocate and this was not Ali’s choice; it was the choice of his camp. Mu’awiyah sent Amr ibn al-Aas to be his advocate; Amr ibn al-Aas was extremely sly and cunning as well. And because of that Mu’awiya chose him to speak on his behalf like his attorney, his advocate, his solicitor. What happened in this arbitration was extremely messy, I do not want to go into too much details, I will give you a synopsis, a brief insight as to what happened. Amr ibn al-Aas, the cunning one, the advocate for Mu’awiya; Abu Musa al-Ashari, very naïve and simple-minded, the advocate for Ali...”
