Deobandi Rashid Gangohi: "God Promised Me No Error From My Tongue"

When the sahabi Abd Illah b. Amru ؓ ceased writing down Hadith, the Prophet Muhammad pointed to his mouth and said:
“Write! For by the One in Whose Hand is my soul, nothing comes out of it except truth.” (Sunan Abi Dawud #3646)

But the Deobandi elder, Rashid Gangohi, appropriated this special quality of the Prophet Muhammad for himself when he stated:
“Allah promised me that no error would ever be spoken by my tongue.” (Arwah-i-Salasa p.230)
