An additional grounds for why I reject the reality or existence of magic is that my Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم reportedly said:
لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ صَاحِبُ خَمْسٍ مُدْمِنُ خَمْرٍ وَلَا مُؤْمِنٌ بِسِحْرٍ وَلَا قَاطِعُ رَحِمٍ وَلَا كَاهِنٌ وَلَا مَنَّانٌ
"Five will not enter Paradise: a drunkard, a believer in magic, one who severs ties of kindship, a soothsayer, and a reminder of favors"
