بسم الله الرحمٰن الرحيم
والصلاة والسلام على رسوله الكريم
وعلى اهل بيته الطيبين الطاهرين
المظلومين
والعاقبة للمتقين
Ibn Arabi, whom many
Sufis regard as Muhi ud-Din “Reviver of the Religion” and Shaykh
al-Akbar, declared that Nubuwwa (Prophethood) remains in its general form,
and only the particular type of Nubuwwa, that is, the legislative Nubuwwa, has
ceased in the person of Prophet Muhammad (sall Allahu alayhi wasallam):
فأبقى لهم النبوة العامة اللتي لا تشريع فيها
“So they still have the general prophethood in which is no law
(shari’a)” (Fusus al-Hikam p.135):
