بِسۡمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِیۡمِ
الصلاة والسلام عليك يا سيدي يا رسول الله
In the Name of Allah, the Rahman, the Merciful
Blessings and salutations of peace be upon you my Master, Apostle of Allah
In the previous entry I exposed the Mahdawi/Jaunpuri cult’s heresy in opposing the core Islamic belief of Khatm un-Nubuwwah or Finality of Prophesy, and believe that Muhammad Jaunpuri, the false Mahdi claimant, was essentially a Prophet. The logical corollary of attributing a prophetic rank and status to Muhammad Jaunpuri is that, from their point of view, rejection of him entails Kufr or unbelief. Hence, the Mahdawis say God revealed the following to their so-called Mahdi of Jaunpur:
جو تجھے قبول کرے مؤمن ہوگا اور جو تیرا منکر ہو کافر ہوگا
Whoever accepts you will be a Believer and whoever is your rejecter will be a Kafir (Shawahid ul-Wilayat, p.163)
And Jaunpuri is quoted as saying:
حضرت نے فرمایا کہ جو کوئی اس ذات کی مہدویت کا منکر ہو کافر ہے
Hadrat [Jaunpuri] said that whoever denies the Mahdawiyah of this essence [himself] is a Kafir (ibid, p.164)
And the Mahdawis, followers of Jaunpuri, till this day make Takfir of all the Muslims who reject Jaunpuri’s claim to being the Mahdi. In this they are not unlike the Qadianis or so-called “Ahmadiyah” sect who likewise consider “non-Ahmadis” Muslims in a superficial sense only, but unbelievers in reality.
The great Sunni Imams and Reformers, like Mujaddid Alf Thani, Imam Rabbani, Ahmad Sirhindi رحمة الله عليه and Imam Ali al-Muttaqi رحمة الله عليه and his pupil the great Mujaddid Imam Muhammad bin Tahir al-Fattani رحمة الله عليه all lived near the time and place of the false Mahdi of Jaunpur and expended considerable effort in refuting him and his new sect, having the vision and foresight to realize its danger to the true Faith.
