In the Name of Allah, the Rahman, the Merciful
Holy, Holy, Holy
We bequeathed to a people who were weak the eastern part of the Land and its western part in which We placed blessing. And was completed the good word of your Lord upon the children of Israel because they were patient. And We destroyed that which Pharaoh and his people built and that which they had erected
(Surah 7, Ayah 137)
Here Allah Most High is referring to the Exodus and the delivery of the Israelites to the Promised Land. They entered it from its eastern side, meaning the East Bank of the River Jordan and then rapidly took possession of the West Bank having crossed the River. It is the West Bank that is particularly blessed as that is where Jerusalem or Al-Quds is located, wherein is Masjid al-Aqsa, the site where the Temple of Solomon stood. There was a time when the ancient Egyptians exercised dominion over the Holy Land, what is called Palestine, but Allah says He bequeathed that Land to the Israelites. And the buildings, monuments, temples, tombs etc., that had been constructed by the Pharaoh and his people, and this is likely referring to the Nineteenth Dynasty known as the Ramesside period. We are informed by the Quran that there was destruction of buildings and monuments erected by the ancient Egyptians. While some of what they constructed, such as the Abu Simbel Temple had to be salvaged in restored in modern times, the Ayah may also contain a prophecy that these buildings will be destroyed in the future. It is clear they are an affront to Allah and an abomination which the Muslims must obliterate.
