بِسۡمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِیۡمِ
In the Name of Allah, the Rahman, the Merciful
All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds
Peace and benedictions upon you, my Master, Apostle of Allah
The frequency of terrifying wars in the Earthly realm is an indication that the cosmic struggle between the Light and the Darkness is about to intensify. Each side is now eager to triumph over the other. On 13 June, 2025, the Zionist State launched devastating strikes on Iran, damaging several of Iran’s nuclear sites, taking out several nuclear scientists and neutralizing the head of the IRGC, Husain Salami. By responding to this aggression with its own barrage of missiles on Tel Aviv and other places in Zionist occupied Palestine, Iran has committed itself to a cycle of tit for tat in which it is Iran that will ultimately sustain massive damage and destruction. While it is to be expected that the Shia community would manifest impassioned support for the regime in Iran, I am surprised at the attitude of many fellow Sunni Muslims who likewise are voicing sympathy for Iran. This is the same Iran that was complicit in the horrific atrocities inflicted upon Sunni Muslims of Iraq and Syria. Iran armed the Shia death squads which went on a rampage in Iraq, slaughtering Sunni Muslims after the bombing of the al-Askari shrine in Samarra on 22 February, 2006. Ten years later, during the Battle of Mosul, Iran actively assisted bloodthirsty Shia militias that committed horrible abuses against the Sunni populace of northern Iraq under the cover of combating ISIS. Perhaps worst of all was how Iran shamelessly propped up the Baathist regime of Bashar al-Asad that cruelly massacred the Sunni Muslims of Syria during the latter’s civil war, which only recently came to an end.
The Holy Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم once ascended Mount Uhud with his three eminent Companions, Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman رضى الله عنهم. When the mountain began to quake, he صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
اثْبُتْ أُحُدُ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ نَبِيٌّ وَصِدِّيقٌ وَشَهِيدَانِ
Be firm, Uhud, for there is not upon you but a Prophet, a Siddiq and two Martyrs! (Sahih al-Bukhari)
While the Prophet’s first Successor, Abu Bakr رضى الله عنه whom the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم termed a Siddiq, meaning a truthful person who is only a single rung below the rank of a Prophet, died a natural death, his second, third and fourth Successors were all tragically martyred. Umar al-Faruq رضى الله عنه was murdered by an Iranian unbeliever called Abu Lu’lu Firuz of Nahavand. A fake grave attributed to Abu Lu’lu is supposedly in Kashan, Iran, which the cursed Rafidah have made into a shrine. The Rafidah have such enmity for the Prophet’s second successor Umar al-Faruq رضى الله عنه that they have steeped so low as to celebrate and honor the infidel who murdered him. Hence, on the 26th of Dhul-Hijjah, the date on which Umar al-Faruq رضى الله عنه was martyred, the Rafidis hold a festival called Omar Kushan which should more accurately be called a carnival. In this the Rafidah give expression not only to their Rifd or hatred for the Prophet’s Companions, but also to their pride in their pre-Islamic Iranian culture and identity. The real reason they hate Umar al-Faruq رضى الله عنه is not that he allegedly usurped the right of the Caliphate from Ali al-Murtada كرم الله وجهه but that under his Caliphate the Muslim Arabs conquered Iran and decimated the Sassanian Empire. Omar Kushan is therefore a crude manifestation of anti-Arab sentiment and jahili Iranian nationalism. The so-called “Islamic Republic” of Iran has in its nearly half a century of existence failed to destroy the shrine in Kashan dedicated to Abu Lu’lu and failed to end the celebration of Omar Kushan. This despite the fact that the Rafidi regime of Iran pretends to be a force for unity and brotherhood between the Sunnis and the Shi’ah.
