Ismaili Belief: The Sahaba Fabricated a Different Quran!

 بِسۡمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِیۡمِ 

In the Name of Allah, the Rahman, the Merciful

الصلاة والسلام عليك يا سيدي يا رسول الله

The heresy that the Quran which is in our hands today, read by the masses of Muslims, is not the original Quran but a corrupted text is often exclusively associated with some elements of the Twelver Shiites.

However, this heresy has been entertained by another major branch of Shiism, namely, the Ismailis. A major Ismaili missionary (dai), Jafar bin Mansur al-Yaman, who lived during the 10th century CE, said:

جس طرح یہود ونصاریٰ نے اصلی تورات وانجیل کو چھوڑ کر اپنی رائے اور قیاس سے علحٰدہ کتابیں جمع کرلیں مسلمانوں نے بھی اسی طرح کیا۔رسول خدا صلعم نے کلام اللّٰہ جمع کرکے اسے اپنے اصحاب کے سامنے اپنے وصی کے سپرد فرمایا۔یہ لوگ اس سے بے پروا ہوگئے اور اپنی رائے وقیاس سے ایک الگ قرآن جمع کیا۔

“Just as the Jews and Christians left the original Torah and Gospel and collected separate texts based on their own opinions and conjectures, so did the Muslims. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) collected the words of Allah and entrusted them to the executor of his will [Ali] in the presence of his companions. But these people became indifferent to that and compiled a separate Quran based on their own opinions and conjectures.” (Hamare Ismaili Mazhab ki Haqiqat aur Uska Nizam, muqaddimah)
