The Soulless Body on Solomon's Throne (Surah 38:34)

 

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

الصلاة والسلام عليك يا سيدي يا رسول الله

وعلى آلك واصحابك يا سيدي يا نور الله

فداك ابي وامي يا رسول الله

In the Name of Allah, the Rahman, the Merciful

Allah, Holy and Exalted is He, says:

وَلَقَدۡ فَتَنَّا سُلَیۡمٰنَ وَاَلۡقَیۡنَا عَلٰی کُرۡسِیِّہٖ جَسَدًا ثُمَّ اَنَابَ

And We tried Solomon, and We placed on his throne a body. Then he returned

(Surah 38, Ayah 34)

The mystery of the jasad or “soulless body” on Solomon’s Throne has eluded many. The key to interpreting the reality of this jasad is to first understand that the Throne of Solomon refers to the Davidic monarchy, which after Solomon passed away was divided into two rival lines; one in the north called the Kingdom of Israel based in the region of Samaria, and the one in the south retained Jerusalem as its capital and was known as the Kingdom of Judah. Both of these Kingdoms came to an abrupt end when they were captured by the Assyrians and Babylonians respectively. And, with a few isolated exceptions, the kings who presumed to sit on Solomon’s Throne were wicked, corrupt men. Yet it is possible that the jasad that was placed on Solomon’s Throne is a prophecy referring to some future revival of the Davidic monarchy through a new king whom the Jews are expecting that they will call Messiah. And for us Muslims the true Messiah is Jesus, peace be upon him, whose Second Coming we eagerly await. The False Messiah of the Jews is none other than the Dajjal or Antichrist. He shall presume to occupy Solomon’s Throne, and is the jasad referred to in the Ayah (38:34) under discussion. The relatively recent establishment of the modern-day State of Israel is surely the foundation upon which the False Messiah of the Jews shall be facilitated to act as a pretender to Solomon’s Throne. And the far-right, religious Zionist government of Benjamin Netanyahu has further set the stage for not only the emergence of this False Messiah, but also the likely reconstruction of the Temple in which he shall sit. The Jews are desirous of a return of the Temple and its sacrificial system. There is no doubt that today the Jews have attained unrivalled power in the world, and the State of Israel is the manifestation of that power. Their control of the international banking system was the means through which they managed to enslave the nations of the West, and through pulling the strings of the great Western governments of America and Europe indirectly exercised dominion over the latter’s vassals in the Muslim World too. Yet the imminent appearance of the Imam, the Mahdi, whom orthodox Muslims are expecting, shall be a successful challenge to the diabolical Judaic hegemony. It is at that point in human history that the Jewish Messiah shall unveil himself and take matters into his own hands. So we can anticipate the appearance of the Dajjal, the False Messiah of the Jews, who shall deceive much of the world, after a brief but glorious restoration of the Islamic Caliphate through the Mahdi. That particular period, which is upon the horizon, shall see the Mahdist forces capture Constantinople (modern-day Istanbul in Turkey) and perhaps Daylam too, the region in northern Iran along the southern coast of the Caspian Sea where Tehran is located. The period of darkness and oppression we are living in today, when the Muslims are grumbling and crying out to Allah Most High for deliverance will come to an end, and the Land shall be filled with justice as it is now filled with injustice. At that time shall also occur the Malhama, a great war between the Mahdist forces of the Muslims and a mammoth coalition of Christian, Western nations, in which the Muslims shall be triumphant though at an incredible cost. So when the Malhama has concluded, and when the Mahdist forces have taken possession of Constantinople then that will be the day the Antichrist surfaces to sit on Solomon’s Throne. He will counter the lightning triumphs of the Mahdists that alarm the Jews and their allies. And Allah and His Apostle know best!
