The
Sufi "saint" Ibn Arabi has been called "Khaatam al
Awliyaa". Does it mean he is literally the last and final of the
saints in a chronological sense, and now there is no possibility for
the coming of a Wali (saint) after Ibn Arabi?
Similarly,
the great commentator of the Qur'an, Allama Alusi has been termed as
"Khaatimatul Muhaqiqeen":
