Continuing
from our previous entry concerning Abul-Alaa Mawdudi the founder of
the deviant cult known as Jama'ati Islami (which in reality should be
called Jama'ati Ghair Islami),
gave an interview which has been transcribed in English for the
benefit of the English speaking reader. In it, he shamelessly states
that democracy (government of the majority)
is not only permissible, but it is a necessity, saying: “Whether we
like it or not, the elections shall have to be a starting point,
because this is at present the only peaceful course for changing the
system of government and rulers. There is no other alternative for
bringing about a change in the system of government and choosing
leaders for running it.”

How dumb one has to be to mix electoral process with democracy. Electoral process does not equates to democracy.
ReplyDeleteMawdudi said there is no alternative to participating in the system of democracy to bring about change. This statement is contrary to the teaching of Islam and the way of the Prophets and Saints
DeleteI mean he clearly wrote elections have to be a "starting point". He thought by winning the elections he could change the system. By no means he supported democracy coz its shirk in its true form. Although I myself don't agree with this methodology of maulana maududi, but it is wrong to say that he considered "democracy" to be necessary.
ReplyDeleteMawdudi's materialist and modernist worldview is what compelled him to transform his sect into a political party that participates in the false system of democracy. But my Master, the Holy Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم made preaching Tawhid his "starting point", which Mawdudi called futile and a failure معاذ الله
