(The
Messiah said): “He (Allah) has made me blessed wherever I may be,
and has enjoined upon me Salaat (prayer) and Zakaat
(alms-giving) for so long as I am alive.
And
peace be upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I
shall be raised to life.”
(Surah
19:31, 33)
*This
passage of the Holy Qur'an is a clear proof that the Messiah son of
Mary (peace be upon him) has already died and is no longer living in
this world. That is because the Messiah says that so long as he is
alive Allah has enjoined him to pay the Zakaat
(give alms to the
needy), but since it is nowhere proven that any needy people or
anyone for that matter are receiving Zakaat
from the Messiah,
therefore, it is conclusively proven that he has died. There is
simply no other explanation.
Although
not an Islamic scholar, Syed Qutb recognized this fact in his
commentary of the Holy Qur'an. Commenting on this passage he wrote:
The
statement is very clear
here in respect of the death and resurrection
of Jesus. It admits no argument or different interpretation.
