False Mahdi Jaunpuri: Father's Name Not Abdullah

In the Name of Allah, the Rahman, the Merciful

Blessings and salutations of peace be upon you my Master, Apostle of Allah

Because there have been so many false Mahdi claimants in the history of this Ummah who caused nothing but mischief and tribulation some Muslims have been tempted to deny the concept of the Mahdi altogether. They usually argue that the narrations concerning the Mahdi that occur in the Sunni corpus of Hadith are the fabrications of Shi’ite narrators, and that no Hadith concerning the Mahdi is free of criticism with regard to its authenticity. But rather than reducing the likelihood of fitnah in this Ummah by insisting on such a denial these individuals have only served to introduce yet another fitnah. The prophecy about the Mahdi is not only established from the Hadith it is accepted by the great Imams, scholars, saints and elders of Ahl us-Sunnati wal-Jama’ah. The motives for denying the Mahdi are not pure and often stem from a materialist, modernist or reformist mindset.

So while countless individuals have risen in this history of the Muslim Ummah falsely claiming to be the Promised Mahdi, yet none has appeared thus far who fulfills all of the signs authentically narrated about the Mahdi from the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him. False Mahdi claimants may fulfill only a few of those signs, but it is sufficient grounds to reject them that they do not fulfill the entirety of the authentically narrated signs. Sayyid Muhammad Jaunpuri is one of the more significant Mahdi claimants as half a millennium has passed since he appeared and yet today there is still a sect in existence that attribute themselves to him. The so-called Mahdawi sect is concentrated in Hyderabad, India but these days they are attempting to proselytize and spread their misguidance to other areas. Therefore, it is prudent to address the tribulation of the Mahdawi sect and refute their misguidance through which they departed from mainstream Islam, namely, Sunni Islam.

Concerning the Mahdi, the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said:

اسْمُهُ اسْمِي وَاسْمُ أَبِيهِ اسْمَ أَبِي

His name is my name and his father’s name is my father’s name (Sunan Abi Dawud: Kitab al-Mahdi)

The name of the Holy Prophet’s father was Abdullah, but according to Mahdawi literature the father of Muhammad Jaunpuri was Sayyid Khan not Abdullah: “After this, the mullahs of the city of Nahruala (Patan) came to the Imam and said: ‘You call yourself Mahdi?’ Imam Mahdi replied: ‘It is not that this slave (of Allah) calls himself Mahdi. Allah commands me (to say so).’ The mullahs said: ‘The name of the Mahdi should be Muhammad bin Abdullah. But your father's name is Syed Khan.’ Imam Mahdi replied: ‘Is Allah incapable of making the son of Syed Khan the Mahdi?’ It is further reported that the mullahs again asked: ‘Mahdi should be Muhammad bin Abdullah. But the name of your father is Syed Khan.’ Imam Mahdi replied: ‘Ask Allah why He made the son of Syed Khan the Mahdi?’ It is reported that the mullahs recited the hadith of Prophet Muhammad which said: ‘His name would be like my name and his father's name would be like the name of my father.’ They further said: ‘The name of your father is Syed Khan.’ Imam Mahdi said: ‘The father of the Prophet was a kafir (infidel). How could he be Abdullah? (But in reality) the Prophet is Muhammad Abdullah and Mahdi too is Muhammad Abdullah. The calligrapher had written ibn between Muhammad and Abdullah, in the name by mistake.’” (Insaf Namah, p.23)

Here we see the obstinate attitude of Jaunpuri that in order to justify not fulfilling the Hadith concerning the Mahdi’s name he went to the extent of denying the well-established fact that the name of the Prophet’s father was Abdullah. And there are many other authentically narrated characteristics and signs of the Promised Mahdi that Muhammad Jaunpuri simply did not fulfill.

  1. One needs to understand the context, Mahdi Ale Salaam had so many debates with scholars, these scholars in spite of knowing very well that his father's name is Syed Abdullah and Khan is just a title, still were questioning the same thing. It is in this context that he responded in this manner. There is another instance in his last days where he confirmed once again that his father's name is Syed Abdullah. The book Jaunpur Namah by non Mahdavi muslim Muhammed Khairuddin Ilahabadi specifically confirms about his father's name being Syed Abdullah, the book is almost 1000 years old. There are so many other Hadith that came true on him, one of the most prominent Sahih Hadith (has golden chain of narration) in multiple books says "How can my ummah perish when I(Huzoor Sallelahu Wa Sallam) am in the beginning, Isa(Ale Salaam) is in the end and Mahdi (Ale Salaam) is in the middle". Likewise, there are many more Hadith, important thing is Mahdi Ale Salaam challenged all the ulema to come and verify his practice, does he follow in the exact footsteps of Huzoor Sallelahu Wa Sallam or differ, there is a hadith on that too. Mahdi (Ale Salaam) is going to follow in the foot steps of Huzoor Sallelahu Wa Sallam. People have wrong understanding of many hadith, like Mahdi Ale Salaam is going to rule the entire world, all the people will become muslim, he along with Isa Ale Salaam is going to kill the dajjal .... etc. Never ever all the people are going to become muslims, Allah Subhanutala indicates in the Quran Christians n Jews are going to be there till day of judgement(check the explanations of 3:55, 5:14, 5:64). World(Duniya) and Hereafter(Aaqirat) are opposite, just like Christians interpreted a prophecy of Prophet Muhammad SallelaHu Wa Sallam that he will be king of kings to be worldly king not spiritual, ulema have wrongly interpreted a hadith where Mahdi Ale Salaam is going to distribute treasures to be worldly treasures, he distributed spiritual treasures of Ahsaan. He is the Seal of the Sainthood of Mohammedia, that started from Prophet Muhammad SallelaHu Wa Sallam, continued with Abu Bakr and Ali RaziAllahTalaAnhum, Aulia Allah Rahmatullah Anhum. Each and every misinterpretation has been explained in detailed. Look at what he taught and practiced, asked the people to practice. Prophet Muhammad SallelaHu Wa Sallam's personal practice and nearness to Allah is vilayat. By Allah's command the practice of vilayat has become mandatory after Mahdi Ale Salaam's advent, that's what he came for. To bring the people very near to Allah, perish in His essense (zaat) faanifillah, become a faqeer, trust in Allah completely, try to remember Him all the time (Zikr e kafi). Be careful when taking his name, Allah has mentioned that He is at war with some people only for two things, one is for the people involved in Riba and second is the disrespect to Aulia Allah ( friends to Allah, who are very close to Allah, prophets, viceregents(Khalifatullah) being the foremost, followed by Sahabis, ....etc). Mahdi Ale Salaam is Khalifatullah

  2. People who love this world would never accept Mahdi Ale Salaam as it's very difficult for them to do tarke e duniya ( Renunciation of the world), everyone wants this Duniya(world) and Hereafter (aaqirat) as well. Most of us are muslims because we are born in muslim family and had decent atmosphere with muslim surroundings. Being muslim means, just do some superficial prayers, Hajj, Umrah ... etc and enjoy life like non muslims, do - travel, eat to the full, have all the entertaintment, boast .... etc. If those non muslims were born in muslim families they will also do the same as we do, why would we go to Jannah? What no one talks about is concept of Hayatud Duniya (desirous of worldly life). Mahdi Ale Salaam clearly explained it and taught that one has to renunciate the love of this world (Renunciate this world), that's the single most thing that makes clear difference between us and non muslims, foregoing the love of this world. Superficially following Islam and still desirous of this world doesn't makes that difference as Allah has promised hell for the people of desirous of this world. Wakeup people, come to senses
Allah SubhanahuTala has mentioned in the Quran,
Surah Hud (11:15-16): "Whoever desires the life of this world and its adornment—We fully repay them for their deeds therein, and they therein will not be deprived."“Those are the ones for whom there is not in the Hereafter but the Fire...”
    Definition of Hayatudduniya
Surah Al-Hadid (57:20) "Know that the life of this world is but play and amusement and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children..."

    1. Islam does not teach or sanction a total renunciation of the world, or that which you termed
      On the contrary, Allah says:
      وَلَا تَنۡسَ نَصِیۡبَکَ مِنَ الدُّنۡیَا
"And do not forget your share of the Dunya" (Surah 28, Ayah 77)
Yes, Islam teaches that Believers should prioritize the Afterlife and not have their hearts set on this temporary abode, the dunya.

At any rate, the Sunni Muslims reject the false Mahdi known as Jaunpuri, not due to love of this world, but due to his failure to fulfill the basic prophecy concerning the Mahdi, and due to his heretical teachings.

  3. Here is Imam Qushayri Rahmatullah Ale Tafsir,
"But seek, through that which Allah has given you, the home of the Hereafter" Meaning: [Seek it through] the intellect, vital strength, the life span of youth, and whatever understanding Allah has specifically endowed you with, so that you may use it as a means of approach to the home of the Hereafter.
"and do not forget your share of the world": Your share of the world is your lifespan—that you obey Allah during it to attain the home of the Hereafter. For indeed, obedience to Allah can only take place in the world, and whoever wastes his days has forgotten his share. And it is said: Your share of the world is your allotted sustenance that has been decreed for you, so do not grieve over it.
"And do good as Allah has done good to you": An act would only be deemed a good deed from him [Qarun] if he had believed in Allah, because a disbeliever possesses no good deeds. This verse indicates that Allah bestows worldly blessings even upon the disbeliever. The "doing good" (ihsan) commanded here is the spending of blessings in pathways of obedience and service, and meeting them with gratitude rather than ingratitude. And it is said: Ihsan is to perceive Divine favor without the illusion of entitlement.
We firmly believe that there are no contradictory verses in the Quran as taught by Mahdi Ale Salaam, as you can see from the above tafseer, it doesn't contradict Tarke duniya. In fact it is supporting it and saying that we have to use our share to duniya lifespan to obey commands of Allah to attain the home of Hearafter. Isn't renouncing Duniya part of Allah's commands as mentioned whoever is desirous of the life of this world, there is nothing in hereafter for them except for fire

  4. Rasoollullah Sallelahuwasallam said love for this world is the root cause of the evil, the world is like carrier and it's seekers are dogs. There are stages of tarke duniya, first stage is not to be inclined towards world or love it by heart. Second stage is to resign to the will of Allah in the matter of sustenance and devote yourself to the worship of Allah and keep on Remembering Allah with concentration of mind and heart and the final stage is tarke e khudi/hasti/tarke-e-nafs, to renounce one's own self and ego. Doesn't Allah talks about nafsul mutmainna in the Quran, how will you reach that stage? You can't reach it on your own, one who has walked that path and master of it can guide you, just like one doesn't become a doctor unless he practices and learns under other doctor, you have to become a mureed(student) of a Murshid who can lead you to that stage. This is nothing new, these tariqaat are there in Sufi orders too but Mahdi Ale Salaam is the seal of the sainthood of Muhammed Rasoollullah (Sallelahuwasallam). Just like all other religions Judaism, Christianity are abrogated after Islam (brought by Rasoollullah Sallelahuwasallam), same applies for all tariqaat too, now by Allah's command everyone has to follow the tariqaat exemplified by Mahdia Ale Salaam And again every practice of his will match with Rasoollullah Sallelahuwasallam’s personal practice which wasn't mandatory till Mehdi Ale Salaam’s advent.
There is a concept of Nabuwat and Vilayat, Rasollullah SallelahuWaSallam said every Nabi has Nabuwat and Vilayat, Nabuwat is like moon and Vilayat is like sun. Know that moon doesn't has it's own light, the moolight occurs when Sunrays fall on it. Tarke-duniya is a faraiz of Vilayat that became mandatory by Allah's hukum after advent of Mahdi-ale-Salaam. Vilayat is exteme nearness to Allah SubhanahuTala, Mahdaviat is nothing new, it's just exemplification of Huzoor SallelahuWaSallam's vilayat . Huzoor SallelahuWaSallam didn't work after declaring nabuwat, neither did asSahabulSuffah and higher Sahabis. All of them adopted Faqiri, you can see Umar RaziallahTalaAnhu going to Jersualem to meet the highest preist in a dress with so many patches. There used to be starvation (faaqa) in Huzoor SallelahuWaSallam's home for many weeks, everyone is aware of it, this inspite of he living among sahabas who will just sacrifice everything for him just like that. Mahdaviat is Huzoor SallelahuWaSallam's personal amal, nothing new. Everything will match, our saints have born in starvation and perished in starvation

  5. It is utterly false that basic prophecies were not fulfilled by Mahdi ale Salaam. All the actual one's are fulfilled, rest of them are just misinterpretations of the hadith by scholars. People of Ahlul Sunnah have accepted Mahdi ale Salaam in lakhs, many scholars, kings .... etc. At the same time, yes the larger population is not even aware of him and many scholars didn't accept him. Even if person doesn't accepts or only even if very few as in the case of Nuh Ale Salaam accept doesn't matter, Allah has sent them and them fulfilled it as per Allah's will, that's it.
There are many Hadith that got fulfilled
    1. His Name will be same as Prophet Muhammad Sallelahu Wa Sallam's name, his parent will be same as his Prophet Muhammad Sallelahu Wa Sallam's
    2. He will be from the progeny of Bibi Fatima RaziaAllahAnhuma
    3. He will be from the progeny of Hazrath Syed Imaam Hassan RaziAllahTalaAnhu
    4. He will be from the progeny of Hazrath Syed Imaam Hussain RaziAllahTalaAnhu
    .....
There are many more, just listed a few, detailed discussion a topic for another day. Mahdi Ale Salaam father lineage is from Hazrath Syed Imaam Hussain RaziAllahTalaAnhu and mother lineage is from Hazrath Syed Imaam Hassan RaziAllahTalaAnhu

    1. The basic prophecy concerning the expected Mahdi is not merely that he will be a descendant of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and bear the name Muhammad son of Abdullah. For there are perhaps millions of Muslims today who are descendants of the Holy Prophet and who bear the name Muhammad.
The principal sign of the Mahdi is that he will be a great Imam of the Muslims and restore their lost glory. This becomes all the more evident when we consider how the Ummah has declined during and after the age of European colonialism. Jaunpuri actually appeared in the late 15th century CE, when the Ummah was still relatively powerful and autonomous. That was the time when the Ottoman Empire was beginning to ascend and the shortly thereafter emerged the grand Mughal Empire. That period in our history does not seem to be the one in which the Mahdi was required to redeem the Ummah and restore its lost glory, but the present age is more fitting that the Mahdi should appear in it.
One of the main signs of the Mahdi is that he will fill the land with justice after it was full of oppression and injustice:
      يَمْلأُ الأَرْضَ قِسْطًا وَعَدْلاً كَمَا مُلِئَتْ جَوْرًا وَظُلْمًا
He will fill the land with justice as it was filled with tyranny and oppression (Sunan Abi Dawud)
Another sign is that he will distribute countless wealth to the people:
      فَيَجِيءُ إِلَيْهِ الرَّجُلُ فَيَقُولُ يَا مَهْدِيُّ أَعْطِنِي أَعْطِنِي. قَالَ فَيَحْثِي لَهُ فِي ثَوْبِهِ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ أَنْ يَحْمِلَهُ
A man will come to him and say "O Mahdi, give me, give me!" So he will will pour into his garment whatever he is capable of carrying (Jami al-Tirmidhi)
These are the principal signs of the Mahdi which Jaunpuri did not fulfill in the least. In fact, a sign of the false Mahdis is that instead of distributing countless wealth to the people they themselves canvas for funding and donations from the people (chanda).
And rather than being a great conqueror and warrior for Islam, Jaunpuri was banished from place to place until he eventually reached Farah, Afghanistan, where he died and is buried.
He had gone to Mecca to proclaim himself the Mahdi, but there was no reception for him. Yet the prophecy of the Mahdi says that the people will give bay'ah to the Mahdi between the Rukn and the Maqam, in the shade of the sacred Ka'bah, and thereafter an army shall come against him from the north which will be swallowed up by the earth.

    2. Please don't leave half baked things, everyone knows there are millions of people with name Muhammad, the full prophecy is His parents name will be same as prophets parents name, can you name any one person who declared to be Mahdi with his parents name being Syed Abdullah and Syeda Aminah? It's only Hazarath Syed Muhammed Juanpur Mahdi ale salaam who declared to be Mahdi by Allah's command.
Mahdi ale Salaam did proclaimed in Mecca, that was his first proclamation, Inshallah will provide our references. Mahdi ale salaam or his followers don't ask for chanda from anyone, in fact our saints rejected charity food even in starvation when Allah's name was not pronounced on it.
How many times do we need to explain all this, you have seen the explanation videos and books and still can't get over it, Inshallah will explain when time permits. And can you quote hadith where it say's that he is going be the conqueror and warrior of Islam, don't give someone's interpretations, prove it.

    3. Indeed, there are many people whose name is Muhammad and whose father's name is Abdullah. Some of them claimed to be the Mahdi. Imam Nafs az-Zakiyah claimed to be the Mahdi and led an uprising against the Abbasids in Medina. His name was Muhammad son of Abdullah, and was a descendant of the Prophet, peace be upon him. Closer to our time, there was a man named Muhammad bin Abdullah al-Qahtani, who with his lieutenant Juhayman al-Utaybi seized control of the Ka'bah and proclaimed himself the Mahdi in 1979.
Therefore, merely proclaiming oneself the Mahdi in Mecca is not sufficient.
The truth is that the real Mahdi will not actually unilaterally declare himself the Mahdi, but the people will recognize him as such and give him the bay'ah against his will:
      فَيَأْتِيهِ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ فَيُخْرِجُونَهُ وَهُوَ كَارِهٌ فَيُبَايِعُونَهُ بَيْنَ الرُّكْنِ وَالْمَقَامِ
A people from Mecca will come to him and take him out, while he is under duress, and give him the bay'ah between the Rukn and the Maqam (Sunan Abi Dawud)

It is also mentioned that after the sign is fulfilled when the army that comes against him is destroyed by being swallowed by the earth, then the Abdal of Sham will come to him:
      فَإِذَا رَأَى النَّاسُ ذَلِكَ أَتَاهُ أَبْدَالُ الشَّامِ وَعَصَائِبُ أَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ فَيُبَايِعُونَهُ بَيْنَ الرُّكْنِ وَالْمَقَامِ
None of these signs were fulfilled for the Jaunpuri

    4. As for the Mahdi being a conqueror and warrior, it is mentioned in several Ahadith that he will conquer Constantinople and Dailam, the former is in modern day Turkey and the latter in modern day Iran:
      لَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلاَّ يَوْمٌ لَطَوَّلَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يَمْلِكُ جَبَلَ الدَّيْلَمِ وَالْقُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةَ
      (Sunan Ibn Majah)
The well known Hadith about the Mahdi filling the land with justice strongly implies he will be a conqueror and a ruler. The Hadith also says he will rule for about seven to nine years. So he will be one upon whose shoulders is the government, not merely a wandering faqir or dervish.

    • Author: Al-Hakim al-Tirmidhi (Abu Abdallah Muhammad ibn Ali)
    • Time Period: 9th – 10th Century AD (Died circa 932 AD / 320 Hijri)
    • Exact Reference: Volume 1, Page 156, Under "The 122nd Principle" (Al-Asl 122).
    • Narration Chain: Al-Hakim al-Tirmidhi → Sub-narrators → Mus'ada ibn Sadaqah → Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq → Imam Muhammad al-Baqir → Imam Ali Zayn al-Abidin → Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib → The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ).
    • Grading Details: Highly debated. Modern critics like Al-Albani classified this structural family route through Mus'ada as weak (Da'if) due to vulnerabilities in the transmission links below the Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt. However, mystical and spiritual scholars treat its inner meaning as sound.
    • Arabic Text:
    «أَبْشِرُوا أَبْشِرُوا، إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ أُمَّتِي كَالْغَيْثِ لَا يُدْرَى آخِرُهُ خَيْرٌ أَوْ أَوَّلُهُ... كَيْفَ تَهْلِكُ أُمَّةٌ أَنَا أَوَّلُهَا، وَالْمَهْدِيُّ أَوْسَطُهَا، وَالْمَسِيحُ آخِرُهَا؟»
    • English Translation:
"Glad tidings, glad tidings! Indeed, the parable of my Ummah is only like the rain; it is not known whether its beginning is better or its end... How can an Ummah perish when I am at its beginning, the Mahdi is at its center-point, and the Messiah is at its end?"

    • Exact Reference: Recorded within his specialized treatise Akhbar al-Mahdi (Traditions of the Mahdi), and cross-referenced in his main biographical encyclopedia Hilyat al-Awliya.
    • Narration Chain: Abu Nu'aym → Traced through his sub-narrators → Back to the Companion Abdullah ibn Abbas → The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ).
    • Grading Details: Designated as an Isnad Hasan (a good/acceptable chain of transmission) by later classical commentators such as Al-Azizi in As-Siraj al-Munir. While individual narrators down the line faced scrutiny, the presence of multiple supporting testimonies elevates its strength.
    • Arabic Text:
    «لَنْ تَهْلِكَ أُمَّةٌ أَنَا فِي أَوَّلِهَا، وَعِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ فِي آخِرِهَا، وَالْمَهْدِيُّ فِي وَسَطِهَا»
    • English Translation:

    Tafsir al-Tha'labi (Al-Kashf wa al-Bayan)
    • Author: Abu Ishaq al-Tha'labi
    • Time Period: 11th Century AD (Died 1035 AD / 427 Hijri)

    • Grading Details: It is categorized structurally as a Da'if (weak) chain due to the presence of multiple disconnected transmission intermediaries unique to old regional historical logs. It is included primarily for textual and secondary commentary support (Shawahid).
    • Arabic Text:
    «لَنْ تَهْلِكَ أُمَّةٌ أَنَا فِي أَوَّلِهَا، وَعِيسَى فِي آخِرِهَا، وَالْمَهْدِيُّ فِي وَسَطِهَا»

  7. Who is Sheikh Ahmad al-Ghumari?
Sheikh Ahmad bin Muhammad bin al-Siddiq al-Ghumari (1902–1961 AD / 1320–1380 Hijri) was a major Moroccan scholar, traditionalist, and master of hadith sciences. [1]
    • His Approach: Unlike Al-Albani, Al-Ghumari came from a rich lineage of traditional Moroccan Sufism and was a grandmaster of the Isnad (traditional transmission chains passed down orally through a chain of authorized teachers). [1, 2]
    • His Methodology: Al-Ghumari championed a highly independent, critical school of thought (ijtihad). He openly criticized what he termed the "Wahhabi philosophy," rejecting its modern literalism and its opposition to traditional spiritual practices like Sufism or celebrating the Prophet's birthday. He was fiercely proud of the family chains running through the Ahl al-Bayt and championed the superiority of Imam Ali. [1, 2]
Al-Ghumari's Defense of the "How Can an Ummah Perish" Hadith
Al-Ghumari strongly disagreed with modern purist trends that sought to discard variations of this hadith simply because individual paths contained weak transmitters. He defended the expanded text using a different structural pillar of hadith science:
    1. The Power of Shawahid (Corroborating Testimonies)
While Al-Albani looked at a transmission chain linearly and crossed out names like Mus'ada or Amr ibn Muqdam, Al-Ghumari’s approach was multidimensional. He argued that when you map out the presence of this hadith across history—appearing with the Ibn Abbas path, the Ibn Umar path, and the Ahl al-Bayt Progeny path—these diverse geographical strings validate one another. Even if an individual string is weak on its own, their collective existence proves the core memory of the text is structurally sound (Hasan lighayrihi / good due to external backing).
    2. The Theology of Nuzul Isa (The Descent of Jesus)
Al-Ghumari authored a famous treatise defending the end-times framework titled Aqidat Ahl al-Islam fi Nuzul Isa (The Creed of the People of Islam Regarding the Descent of Jesus). In it, he argued that traditions detailing the trio of leadership (the Prophet at the start, the Mahdi in the center, and Jesus at the end) are part of a massive ecosystem of prophecies that are collectively Mutawatir (so widely narrated across different companions and chains that it is historically impossible for them to have been forged or fabricated). [1]

  8. Some scholars are of the opinion that some of these are weak on the basis of weak link in the chain of narration and some others after looking at different chains and variations have concluded that this concept of Prophet SallellahuWaSallam in the beginning, Isa ale Salaam in the end and Mahdi ale Salaam in the middle has reached state of Mutawatir due to multiple chains of narration. Since it has reached that state, some have accepted it and come up with a new idea of reconciliation. Their reconciliation seems to be based on the assumption that Mahdi ale Salaam and Isa ale Salaam will be present at the same time. Imaam Al Suyyuti says, muslims will become united under the leadership of Mahdi ale Salaam, reach the peak state of spirituality and then Mahdi Ale Salaam will hand over the leadership to Isa Ale Salaam, there is one more scholar Allahmah Anwar Kashmiri who has similar opinion, basically Mehdi Ale Salaam will come just before Isa ale Salaam and that fulfills the criteria of Mehdi Ale Salaam being in the middle since he came second, Isa ale Salaam is coming third and second is in the middle. Firstly, there is not a single hadith which proves that Isa Ale Salaam and Mehdi Ale Salaam are going to there at the same time, secondly there is sahih Hadith in Muslim where if one Khalifa has been accepted, then if there is second one, kill him. Just to make sure the concept is understood correct, if someone thinks waren’t Abu bakr Siddique and other future khalifa RaziAllahTalaAnhum weren’t there at the same time. Yes they were, but the future Khalifa’s weren’t khalifa yet, there were members of Shura council. In case of Mahdi Ale Salaam and Isa ale Salaam they are both Allah’s Khalifa by birth, it’s not like one will be Khalifa and other will attain the status of Khalifa later. Another question that might come to someone’s mind is were not Prophet Ibrahim ale Salaam and Lut Ale Salaam there at the same time? Yes, that’s true but the difference is but the difference is that they were the individual Khalifa of their assigned community or region. Prophet Muhammad SallelaHuWaSallam is the prophet for all the nations/Regions and there can be only one Khalifa for all the muslims after him and thereby they both can’t be living at the same time. Thirdly if during Mahdi Ale Salaam time, if they reach spiritual state peak, entire earth is going to be filled with justice, how will Dajjal come at the same time. Dajjal is going to come at the peak of corruption, not at the peak of justice and spirituality. Isa ale Salaam is going to come after Dajjal to kill him. Fourthly, if both Mahdi Ale Salaam and Isa ale Salaam are going to liberate ummah from getting perished, how can they live at the same time. So, Let’s say Mahdi Ale Salaam came first and saved ummah from perishing, now if Isa Ale Salaam comes right away still when Mahdi Ale Salaam is living, how will he liberate the ummah already liberated.

    1. You said: "there is not a single hadith which proves that Isa Ale Salaam and Mehdi Ale Salaam are going to there at the same time"
This is incorrect. I will quote two Hadiths here which indicate that the Messiah Jesus will offer Salah behind the Mahdi:
      مِنَّا الذي يُصَلِّي عيسى ابنُ مريمَ خلفَهُ
"From us is the one behind whom Jesus son of Mary shall offer Salah"
Although the title Mahdi has not been used directly in this Hadith, the characteristics of an individual who is from the Ahl al-Bayt and an Imam make it plain that this individual is the Mahdi.
      Another Hadith is more explicit:
      يَنْزِلُ عيسى ابنُ مَرْيَمَ فيقولُ أميرُهُمُ المهديُّ تَعالَ صلِّ بنا فيقولُ لا, إنَّ بعضَهُم أَميرُ بعضٍ تَكْرُمَةُ الله لهذه الأمَّةِ
Jesus son of Mary will descend and their Amir, the Mahdi, will say to him, "come, lead us in Salah" but he will say, "No, surely, son of them are leader of others, it is Allah's honoring for this Ummah."

This latter narration is in the Musnad of al-Harith bin Abi Usamah and Albani said its isnad is jayyid (see Silsilat al Ahadith as-Sahihah, #2293)

    2. You are again giving the interpretation and personal opinion of some scholar in both these hadith that this person is going to be Mahdi, there is no world Al Mahdi in any of these. You won't be able to find even one hadith as these are just interpretations/opinions. As explained earlier interpretations about prophecies are often wrong.

    3. Incorrect, I clearly mentioned a Hadith that has the word al-Mahdi in it. Let me quote it from Arba'un Haditha fil-Mahdi of Abu Nu'aym al-Isbahani:
      عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: يَنْزِلُ عِيسَى بْنُ مَرْيَمَ فَيَقُولُ أَمِيرُهُمُ الْمَهْدِيُّ تَعَالَ صَلِّ بِنَا فَيَقُولُ لا إِنَّ بَعْضَهُمْ أَمِيرُ بَعْضٍ تَكْرِمَةُ
