Hanafi Fatwa: To Get Drunk At Night Does not Invalidate I'tikaaf

According to the Hanafi school of thought, if a person is in I'tikaaf (spiritual seclusion) – which is a type of worship in Islam – and he gets drunk at night, his I'tikaaf is not broken:

Translation: And if the Mu'takif intoxicates at night, his I'tikaaf is not nullified, because intoxication is against the Religion, and not necessarily against I'tikaaf.
