أَنَّ أَبَا حَنِيفَةَ قَالَ : لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا عَبَدَ هَذِهِ النَّعْلَ يَتَقَرَّبُ بِهَا إِلَى اللَّهِ لَمْ أَرَ بِذَلِكَ بَأْسًا.
It
is narrated that Abu Hanifah said: “If a man worshiped this shoe
seeking nearness to Allah by it, then I see no problem with that.”
And we seek
refuge in Allah
from such an obvious Shirk and Kufr, as pointed out by Sa'eed (one of
the narrators).

The narrator Abdullah b. Ja'far b. Darastawayh was weakened by al-Lalika'i (Sir A'lam an Nubula; v.15, p.532)
